Our Approach: Natural Results, Never Overdone

We get it, there’s a fine line between a great cosmetic result and a smile that looks a little too fake. That’s why our approach focuses on enhancing what’s already there.

We don’t want your smile to look like someone else’s. We want it to look like you—refreshed, brighter, more harmonious, and totally real.

To get there, we use advanced digital tools to design your new smile:

  • iTero Scanning with Outcome Simulator: This allows you to see a digital preview of your smile before we begin.
  • Tek Scan Bite Analysis: This helps ensure comfort and long-term function throughout and after treatment.
  • Digital Smile Design: We fine-tune every detail: symmetry, shape, color, and even how your smile fits your face.

The end result? A smile that feels like yours on its best day, every day.

Who’s a Good Candidate?

If your smile is holding you back, even just a little, you’re probably a good candidate. Most of our smile makeover patients are:

  • Tired of hiding their teeth in photos or conversations
  • Frustrated with chips, gaps, or uneven spacing
  • Wanting straighter, brighter, or more youthful-looking teeth
  • Dealing with older dental work that’s discolored or doesn’t match
  • Interested in long-term solutions that look good and feel natural

Whether you are an adult in your late 20s or 70s and beyond. If your goal is a confident, beautiful smile that fits your lifestyle and personality, you’re in the right place.

The Smile Makeover Process: What to Expect

At Dougherty Cosmetic Dentistry, we’re big on quality and attention to detail. Here’s what you can expect when you start your smile makeover journey with us:

Step 1: The Consultation

We’ll sit down, talk through your goals, and take a good look at your teeth, gums, and bite. We might use digital photos and scans to help map things out. Most importantly, we’ll listen.

Step 2: Design & Planning

This is where your smile starts to come to life—on screen, at least. Using digital tools, we’ll design a preview and walk through your options together. For example, do you want to brighten your teeth before placing veneers? Or are you curious about how Invisalign might shift that front tooth? We’ll plan it all step by step.

Step 3: Treatment Begins

Depending on your plan, we’ll start with any prep work (like whitening or aligners) and move into cosmetic treatments like veneers or bonding. We work carefully to get the results you want with the least amount of disruption to your natural tooth structure.

Step 4: Smile Reveal & Refinement

Once everything is in place, we’ll do a final polish and make any small adjustments needed to perfect your bite or balance. Then comes the best part: the mirror moment.

Ready to Start Your Smile Makeover?

A smile makeover can be about so much more than appearances. For many of our patients, it’s the first step toward showing up more fully in their everyday life, whether that means speaking up in meetings, laughing more freely, or just enjoying seeing their reflection again.

We’ve helped patients who hadn’t smiled in years finally feel like themselves again. And while the dental work matters, it’s the change in confidence that keeps us doing what we do. Call now to schedule your smile consultation.
